ride the wind

ride the wind

feel her calm
reflecting upon
what we've seen
what we've done
there is no explanation
no expression
for this joy and sorrow
just the vastness of the void

favor a westerly breeze
gentle and mild
leave it all behind
in search of bliss
she'll shift the sand
into complete release
sadness lies
in dark corners

ride the wind

she'll whip your eyes
till unable to see
your inner pain
she'll rule the sky
without exception
her blue is pure
the sun will rise
as clouds drift by

she blows and subsides
as the day falls
she rims our horizons
shifting the desert dunes
she howls the night
as our shadows run
happiness hides
in plain sight, undone

ride the wind

she soars as an eagle
over rocky edge
she is the cloudless sky
an immense landscape
rolling plains and mountains
electric sky in flames
thunderous illumination
she reveals our plight

she flies high above
majestic peaks and vistas
rushing rivers and vast oceans
she blows furious and proud
gales and hurricanes
searching for lost truths
she glides in the light
seeking love and peace

The wind is a taskmaster and we must bend to her will. Excellent. Patrick

Right now we have a cold Santa Ana wind. Dry and nasty.

We don't really know where she comes from or where she goes, do we? We might say "she's heading south" or "she's coming from the north" but we really don't know where she's been or what her plans are for the future. "she glides in the light seeking love and peace" and that's what really matters.

Love & Light,
Joseph
