Butterflies
Butterflies are so special to me.
They cause a calming feeling as they fly about me.
There are so many colors for me to see,
but my favorites are two white ones that visit me.
When I walk outside to enjoy the sun,
my two white butterfly friends
fly to and fro and have so much fun.
It appears they are partners enjoying each others
company,
as they flutter around chasing each other
and show off for me.
They shine in the sunlight and look so great,
their fantastic beauty I appreciate.
I don’t think butterflies live very long,
but somehow each summer they come along.
These two must recreate and come back again
in some way,
so they can visit me every few days.
Every summer they look like before
I wonder if they are the same or if it is two more.
Are they a fantasy that only I can see?
I have been told they are field moths.
but they are a great sight to see,
and they still look like delicate butterflies to me.
It is really great how good they make me feel.
Are they just a vision or are they real?
Something special seems to happen the day
they appear.
It is always good and not something to fear.
It lets me know why they came to see me,
and they like to visit and bring good news to me.

| They sound like two field moths, with the hearts and souls of vibrant, colorful butterflies. Hope they continue to visit you for a very long time! |
