The Miracle

I walked into a church today
and though it was not of my faith
It's where I sometimes go to pray.
As I sat there with my eyes closed
I began to talk to God and tell him what I had to say
A great comfort came over me,
as in my vision I could see,
Saint Francis standing in the back of the church watching over me.
The miracle I saw was very special
and will always stay in my mind,
as a gift from the Virgin Mary
that she left for me behind.
Saint Francis moved down the aisle,
with grace and such great style.
Then right in front of me,
oh what a beautiful sight to see.
He turned into a woman
in a beautiful blue gown.
She had no face, but I felt her grace
as she filled my vision with a view that would astound.
The blue dress kept getting closer
and suddenly I found
it went inside my body
and gave me a great healing
that had no earthly bounds.
The miracle I saw was very special
and will always stay in my mind
as my gift from the Virgin Mary
that she left for me behind.

This is a true story. I put only the jest of it in the poem. Soon, I will share the rest of the story in my short story section. It was the most amazing feeling I have ever had.

| Very well thought out. The poem reads smoothly and tells a story in itself. A very interesting idea to relay something in short form. Very interesting write! |
