Thanksgiving
I know some people think
they have nothing to be thankful for.
But there are people like me,
who are so thankful that we look forward to the future
like never before.
Some of us thank God we are alive, because we survived.
Others are thankful they still have a job to go to
and work to make a living and have the things they need.
Some are thankful that they were able to succeed
With their goals and dreams and wishes come true .
But that is not the case with all of you.
Some struggle to survive,
and try to figure out ways to stay alive.
The homeless and the poor, make me sad,
especially at this time of year
In the cold and doing without
must make their lives full of fear.
I wish something could be done
to help the people who have so little or even none
of the good things that other people have.
What is this life all about?
It makes me wonder how some can have it all.
Money, love, food, nice things and some have nothing at all.
I think our country should help its poor so we can all be thankful
this Thanksgiving time knowing everyone will be well and fine.
A good Thanksgiving is my hope for you and yours, me and mine
and everyone else who is having a hard time.
HAPPY THANKSGIVING AND BLESSINGS TO ALL.
