Constant insomnia turns on the news
Transparent attention span waiting for words to be spoken
The war is still alive, closing my eyes as the angels cry
The terrorist’ biding time avoiding acceptance of blame
Running wild like bullies on the playground
They brush off the shame of the game
Keeping morality is not their agenda
Human loss a mere nonchalant conversation
Thirsting for blood, feeding on brainwashed wickedness
Planting yet another seed of tragedy, using insane blindness
Oblivious to the fact that they have taken from children
Turning some into orphans, leaving others parentless
As torn feathers of a peaceful dove fly into the winds
Like vultures they prey on the innocent and sane
Tears around the world mean nothing as they show no regret
In stormy seas, theirs is the Devil’s deeds les’ we’ll never forget
Analyzing what my two children comprehend…
I see in their eyes innocent wonder, not really understanding
I myself cannot anticipate or interpret what is being said or answer why
I hold my children close to my breast as if they were priceless treasures
Praying to the heavens to rescue our world, taking such drastic measures
My mind and spirit as one, enough is enough, let it be done
We the people live our lives like the pillars of the bridges we’ve built
Churches stand strong and tall,
Our tattered American flag waving on through it all
Just as pipes from church organs fill the air, the media pipes their voices
It is very evident that our nations are depending on leadership and wise choices
As performers playing a thousand notes
We go on living, our exciting or ordinary lives
Our children are our future, the light of our eyes, the music in our souls
Rich or poor, homeless or helpless
Wherever our paths may lead or already be
We pray for world peace, a priceless masterpiece.

| World peace would be so great as you wished for and so do I and many others. WE need good leadership in office too, which hoping God will put in this fall. Why cannot we all get along and cease the fighting? Is it so hard to do? Peace come quickly for us to see. |
