.....I-MAGE Music In The Idom Of I.....Volume I.....(I-Prior-I).....PG

THE LUNG TWINS
(Huff-Suck'n'Puff-Blow)

Whither Of No Return

There is a Thither
up the Whither Of No Return.
Sometimes it's empty
and sometimes full of space.
We went a-questing
up the Whither Of No Return;
Searching for air............................
................
in some legendary place.

WAH-WAHOOOOOOOOO!
That's the way aThither wails:
(Wah-Wahoo!
Wah-Wahoo!)
--all along the ballyhoo--
WOO-WAHEEEEEEEE!
That's the way a
Hither hails:
(Come to me!
Come to me!)
We almost reached Ever-Never
Up the Whither Of No Return;
But we could not breathe there
For NOWHERE was there air!
WAH-WOO-HEEEEEEE!
HOOWAH-HOO-HOO-HOO!
We never reached Ever-Never...
(Gotta work
on that last line!)

I-MAGE BONES

The Skeleton Waltz

I was slithering
on my old bones
to the Skeleton Waltz
when some new bones I just had to grow!
So I could stand up, click my heels up,
raise my arms up,
stick my thumbs up,
do the cakewalk,
shake, rattle, and roll.

Do the limbo,
the mambo,
the hop-skip-and-jump;
twist and twirl or sit
with my legs crossed.
(la-la-la)
I became the Cap of swingers:
tap my feet,
snap by fingers
to the beautiful
Skeleton Waltz.

The beau-ti-ful
Skel-le-ton Walllltz!

I-MAGE HEART and The LA

Love-oholic Blues

Hello, my name is Heart...'nd I am a love-oholic.
    (Hello, Heart!)
(Welcome, Heart!)
Hello, my name is Heart...'nd I am a love-oholic
 (Sing it, Heart!)
(...like it is!)
My craving's metabolic,
Both systolic and diastolic!
   (Pump it to us, Heart!)

I need a-body...to carry me along.
(Bones'll bear!)      (Hunk'll share!)
I need a-body...to carry me along.
(Spleen'll support!)   (Pan'll deep ort!)
But I ain't got a-body
'Cause there's NOWHERE can a-body belong.
   (Boo-boo-boo-hoooo!)

Void me of love...sadder than anemic strains!
Void me of love...sadder than anemic strains!
Harder than a bloodclot
Bluer than varicose veins!

Fill me with love...wholesome as a mandala!
Fill me with love...wholesome as a mandala!
Joyful as nativity,
Playful as an orchestra!

Feeling of love...let loving be concise!
Feeling of love...let loving be concise!
Put love and love together
Out of NOTHING comes PARADISE.

I-MAGE STOMACH

Stomach's Grumble

In the kitchen;
open the void;
searchin' for food to fill my
vacuum
and sate my appetite.

Open the hollow;
NOTHIN' in there;
even the wishing-well is bare!
Oh, woe...do I feel low....

All of you believe me...
you know that I'm not bluffin'!
For how could I feel
the way I do
and not need a good stuffin'?

All I want is
somethin' to eat...
strength to help you reach
your easy street.
Would that I could fill out a
 baggy muumuu. . .
Give me substance, not just
Nullagain Stew!

I-MAGE HUNK (von MUSCLEMORPH)

and I-MAGE SPLEEN

Breakthrough

YODEL-LAY-DEE-O-DLE-LAY-DEE-O-
DEE-
DLE-LAY-DEEEEE!

We'll be your breakthrough
when you're up against the wall.
We'll be your breakthrough
when you're trapped in your pit fall.
We'll be your breakthrough
when you're under the pall.
Whatever begalls you,
We'll be your breakthrough!

YODEL-LAY-DEE-O-DLE-LAY-DEE-O-DLE-LAY-DEEEEE!

When in your quest for meaning
you come to the top of your climb,
And all your hopes and dreams turn out
less than more sublime;
When your imagination
comes to the end of time
And you're down to your last enzyme
We'll be your breakthrough!

YODEL-LAY-DEE-O-DLE-LAY-DEE-O-DLE-LAY-DEEEEE!

Though NOTHING in this NOWHERE
piques your puissance;
Though endless-empty-space-time
portends your transience;
Though it makes a farce of your BE-DO
and dims your radiance
Don't let it daunt your valience...
We'll be your breakthrough!

(Repeat chorus!)

YODEL-LAY-DEE-O-DLE-LAY-DEE-AY,
YODEL-LAY-DEE-O-DLE-LAY-DEE-AY
YODEL-LAY-DEE-O
-DLE-LAY-DEE-O-
DEE-DLE-LAY-DEEEEE
!

I-MAGE PANCREAS

The Ilse of Lingerhums
(Hymn)

There is a utopia far over beyond
Where an Organist leads a great Chorus.
They're singing in unison, calling for us,
Calling for us to respond.

On the Isle of Lingerhums
We'll never more struggle and strive.
We'll have each our portion
A
nd evermore thrive
On the Isle of Lingerhums.

The Organist knows that we want harmony
And notes every tune of our strain.
Together we'll make a home vast and humane
And create the Great Symphony.

On the Isle of Lingerhums
We'll never more struggle and strive.
We'll have each our portion
and evermore thrive
On the Isle of Lingerhums.

Ahhhhh-Muuuuu!

Ref: Your 02/19/04 "I wonder if there's a meaning behind the color scheme in each piece and the spacing?"

I-MAGE (the book) is 131 pages of dialogue between 17 ARCH-I-TYPES. Each speaks in a font that a participating reader comes to recognize by sight, much like we come to recognize the sound of individual voices by ear: human, animal, and instrumental. For posting at AD I used colors in place of fonts. (Let the reader's I-Magination compose the melodies!)
Further FYI: The I-MAGES are psychic symbols of THE ARCH-I-TYPES, before the beginning of spacetime; their songs are their hopes for SOMETHING-SOMEWHERE-SOMETIME (which "come true" with their Creation of THE ONE-I-VERSE).

These are interesting. I wonder if there's a meaning behind the color scheme in each piece and the spacing?
