lyrics

I lived in hell to find Redemption
Trying to buy my way back home
I stood and watched my own reflection
Stare back at me alone

They say with age, a man, becomes much wiser
That youth is hollow as a grave
But for me the road just keeps on getting wider
And in the end there’s nothing saved

I once believed in gods and angels
Fell on my knees and prayed
But they locked the doors and burned the crosses
They could not find one saint who’s brave

I lived in cities filled with martyrs
Who gave and gave until they bled
But clerics came disguised as vultures
And on their bones they fed

I lived in hell to find Redemption
Where all the truths are really lies
I reached my hand into the mirror
Until I stood on the other side

Outside looking in, a refreshing perspective indeed. Look into your heart and soul for answers, God is waiting.......
