poem

I am that cold dark shadow in the corner

That voice whispering, murmuring at night-tide

I was born of the hunger flooding your soul

I am the image of all that is forbidden;

all that you crave and desire

It is all here for the seeking

within me, within the closing darkness

that clasps your heart when you shut your eyes

I am your ending and your ecstasy

the gentle touch of silk against your flesh

a soft breeze stirring the hairs on the

nape of your neck, a feeling of warmth

against the contours of your thighs

I am the ripen fruit of dream

the taste of the ocean's salty air

I am the means of all you crave

a flame against the cold

you have only to sleep

To dream is "the means of all you crave" - I love this. My interpretation leads me to the notion that we can attract to our world all of which we dare dream, so long as those dreams come from a centered, genuine place. Very interesting write. Interesting how a writer writes with a meaning in mind, yet readers glean what they will!
