words on edge

She showed me the red desert
I thought of the ocean
I can never go back
Only place memories into glass jars
Where they can dream on their own

Time brings wanting
You see more in a young girl's eye
Her lips yet to touch anything bitter
I can never go back

Sometimes alone feels lonesome
When darkness blankets the night
And a chill wavers in the air around you
The past becomes a blanket
But  memories don't always
Offer any warmth

Placing memoires into glass jars where they can dream on their own is a great line that anchors this poem.

William, this is such a deeply moving poem..I have felt this way also, but lonely does not equate to alone. I am alone, but not lonely..It is all about healing and loving yourself.
Peace, love, and light,
