poem

faces like dancing angels in the winds

There are the days you walk remembering
Grey clouds threatening rain unseen
Just the haze of a different sidewalk, another time, what seems like another's life passing by but it's only the past, snatches of forgotten memories, faces like dancing angels in the winds
A lonesome walk across an island, no destination in mind just walking, forgetting and remembering until the faraway city is only a blur and suddenly you're at an airport listening to the jets roar but you are not going anywhere, not this time
Black walkers on clay and asphalt, workmen digging up a road
but you are just passing by on your way to no-where.
And suddenly in the veil of movement a fragile face appears. It is someone that you loved once and all movement stops. You raise your face toward Valhalla, toward heaven, toward paradise, and you see her as she was before your eternal walk. Perhaps you call out her name and hope for an answer but no answer comes and so you walk as you always have
A touch of rain on flesh, warm and soothing
You whisper her name

I like this, Bill, its ethereal quality and its truth. Sometimes we don't realize how much we miss an old love until we catch a glimpse of them again whether in real life, dreams, or shifting memory.

A powerful and loving tribute to your loved one.

I have lost a wife and it took 20 yrs. to write a story about her.
It is on my website titled - "A Slice of A Short Life"

Her sprit is always with you, and I have lost my hubby in Aug and still grieve but know he is up with the angels and looking over me. I have proof he is with me in soul and spirit as good things happen to me that did not when he was alive always. Angels surround us always too, and God's work is great and this is a great universe.

so Zen...wrapped in reflections, awareness...I felt this way waiting for my man at the train stations...longing, in the waiting moments, until he was back in my arms once again
So enjoyed!
