You might touch me now my love
For I am safe from the fire of remembering

Your wistful glance would not be returned
For I am sightless to the majesty of your face
Once held in awe

Deaf now to your lyrical voice...
Its music of love and deceit

Free now from the masquerade
In which we danced

                                   oh how we danced!

oh how we danced!

Do I detect a few smoldering embers of remembering?

Very descriptive words, but sounding much like someone who is just recovering from a big hurt. Hope they are fictional, rather than autobiographical. Nicely done Pat. Thanks Dick

Yeah Pat, sock it to him! It is a good feeling when you're passed the hurt. May happiness shine brightly upon you,
Best regards,
