i KNOW i heard a groundhog sing
he was playing a fiddle
singing something about spring

so i KNOW a flea could eat
an entire celery stalk
which means he'd have a mouth so huge
he'd surely be able to talk

i KNOW my mom has extra ears
hidden somewhere in her bed
she only uses them when i'm bad
like those eyes on the back of her head

Six more weeks of celery stalk
Until the little flea can talk
Or sing with the hog thru winter's lull
Cause a flea can't sing with a mouth that's full

A delightful write that will appeal to all children (including the child within me). Thank you, Pat. Love and best wishes,

Such is the meanderings of a very inquisitive and astute mind. I've seen and heard things also, Pat, but unlike you, I was too timid to voice them.
