a blank page
nuthin' to be written'
nuthin' yet given
but old age
that be the sage
a blank page

no words to say
no word's to pray
only Life to play
i live to pay
for a blank page
even at my age

so play
let the cards lay
as they may

ace's & dueces
what's the uses
king's & queen's
know what i means?

what the uses
know what i means

a time in space
you can't erase
the card's you've been dealt
and what you've heldt
not even what you felt

when you got it right
you can write
but maybe not tonight
words... outta' sight

yet i still write
try as i may
try as i my might
i still write
goin' my way

on the blank page
i know i ain't no sage
least not today or yesterday

i just grow older
bolder
with age

but a blank page
when you age
is a rage
because it's just a blank page
that made you age

when 'nuthin
was sumpin'
ta' write
to get it right
tonight
wait 'till the mornin' light

see
nuthin' was free
this be me
so what do we be?

except poets
who know it
and we show it
we write poetry
even tonight
without much light

be old of age
a somewhat sage
still fillin'
a blank page

i still
always will
write poetry
that just be me

even with a blank page
i try to be a sage
and age
poet-ti-cally
that just be me

Well Steve I went to the opposite end of the spectrum, with the blank page idea, I just called it "Herein nothing to read", and left the page blank, almost...LOL! Always enjoy this woodsy humor of yours, Peace, Ed & rufuz

Let no page remain blank in the presence of any writer. (The Universal Rule of Scribble). It works! See the neat poem you came up with?!
