Never mind the imperfect chord
For the one taking
Goodbyes on a clear sunny day

A delightful thing this pause at home
Watching and breaking the silence
A quick shared song
Velvety, these plucked strings...

Yes, Dad, Yes!...our music will live on
This I'll keep:
This welcomed hour of Hawaiian music
Can never be broken, can never break in time

And why this music? Purity and blessings
   Watch over the miles separated
These are lessons
   Beloved, gentle and so soothing
To speak of truth, quiet friendship
   And musical affection...

We shall want and hold again
Simply Rich Treasures
To remember
