Jasmine Dreaming

Together
we soared thru the sky
anything seemed possible

Our dreams shared reality
Jasmine- scented thoughts
breathing passion as air
the wind embracing us

Sharing laughter -
Love
Souls became one

Dreams -
Brittle as ice
 shatter and liquefy
 drying to oblivion

Plummeting t'wards the abyss
Screaming our anguished
Blood- stained thoughts
a dagger thrust into our essence.

Each of us
holding a part of the other

Even now, the ache lingers -

I wish we had never flown.

Like the usage of the different colors you post. What we had we sometimes wish we had again. but not always.

Hi Lisa, Congratulations on your poetry. I always thought poetry had to rhym, but this one doesn't because the meaning is there without it. Thanks for sharing. Emma
