A Sure Investment

God's Word like fire burns
Hypocrisy like plastic;
The soul, it convicts.
On hardened hearts
The Word's a heavy hammer,
Breaks to heal after.
Through fear or doubting
It's the double-edged sword,
A firm cutting Word.
The lost and broken
Find it's a lamp for guiding
One's journey through life.
A source of great wealth-
And today more than ever,
It makes you richer.
A sure foundation-
An eternal investment,
God's Word never failed.
"Is not My Word like fire," declares the Lord, "and like a hammer that breaks a rock into pieces?"
Jeremiah 23:29
