In utter humility,
Yeshua came to be
Taking on humanity,
To ransom you and me.
From Genesis it was done
The apolutrosis of man-
The Godhead devised the plan,
And so the Son became Man.
Jesus Christ, One Redeemer
And His Blood, our Purifier,
The One and only Mediator
And there is no other Savior.
"Tetelestai!" Jesus cried-
"It is finished!" then He died,
Eternal debt was put aside,
And so in Him will Truth abide.
The way for Grace has been made
His Sacrifice paid the Price.
To receive new life in spirit paid
The victory over sin sufficed.
"I Am the Lord there is no other,
Apart from Me there is no God."
Why give glory to the another
When only Jesus shed His Blood?
-------------------------------------
"Tetelestai" -Hebrew for "fully paid"
"Apolutrosis" -Greek for "full ransom paid"
"I Am the Way, the Truth, and the Life,
no one comes to the Father except through Me."
JOHN 14:6
"For there is One Mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, who gave Himself as a ransom for all men - the testimony given in its proper time."
2 TIMOTHY 2:5

Love this Cynthia. You put a lot of emotion and style into this one; to mention nothing of the Truth. God bless.

Right on. It has always bothered me when I hear of people praying to Mary or to any of the Saints because God's word says that we must not talk/pray to those who are dead. All these people are dead so what can they do for anyone? Jesus is alive. I'll talk to the living God, thank you. Blessings, J'nia

Great teaching poem the bare essentials. I see you went back to the original language with some key words and gently dispelled some confusing teachings. I wasn't aware of the word "apolutrosis," though I'm sure its in good commentaries.

Despite the "cinema critics" I enjoyed Mel Gibson's film's portrait of the passion of Jesus, totally absent was that Hollywood patronizing that thinks the viewers should be spared of this and that.
Appropriated for the Easter week.
