Indelible drops of lithesome light
Fell from the lambent Moon that night
And showered the Earth in strange delight!
I was the only soul
Around that savage experience
Which tore my mind apart!
What could be seen, in the shadowy glare
Of the Heavenly coals, was wild despair:
Abounding from finish to start
In shapeless arrogance!
I can never go back again
(Although I hardly left the scene),
For fear another night there lurking
Might find my madness in a name,
And classify me …
Insane!
