A hedgehog’s prayer
|
by Philip Fortune I am a little hedgehog And I live in a nest Surrounded by oak leaves— Nothing but the best. I live beside a mountain Under a bushy tree, And I roam in your back garden Feeling wild and free. I rarely meet a Human (Although I did the other day), They’re very big and frightening And I always run away. My eyes are very sensitive, I don’t like dazzling light, But I love to see the Moon and stars Adorning the darkest night. I roam in your back garden Feeling wild and free, And I firmly believe, when I find God He’ll be lovely and small—like me.

And my prayer for little Spikey...is that his Spikes are extra sharp, enough to puncture any tyre of a car that may just run over him....
I love Hedgehogs, miss them, as they don't live in OZ..we used to find them in the hedges all the time in NZ ( my home)
even found an albino one, and we've nursed many back to health..
AAAAAAAAAhhhhh this was refreshing Ty
