I'm getting the chills just reading this poem. You have written a most descriptive piece here my friend and as Ted says, "remind me to avoid the sewer drain at Peck's Corner." The stench alone would get to me! To see a body holding a head with no eyes....well, that would find me screaming all the way down the streets. A poem with true vision!
Smiles,

Ooooooo! Please remind me to avoid the sewer drain at Peck's Corner. Sounds like a place NOT TO BE! Good, and spooky, and wonderful, CJ! To answer Sharon -- no, he didn't wonder ANYTHING -- he just lost his head! Terrible situation. Reminds me of the clown in Stephen King's sewer ...
Write on!
