After the Waters Rise...

I don't mind the job of "Old Testament Prophet" though the pay is low and the benefits few; it ain't out of place in this world we live in. Why what those old jews did looks like simple pranks compared to our capacity for destruction. They could only knock down a wall down or defile a temple but us: why we can destroy a WORLD!-- little by little; so let's just keep those BIG SCREEN Hard-drive TVs burning through the night (I'm not planning on getting one) and yea make a stink about stuck pedals on Prius's while we drive American cars to the brink to get a few bags of goods on 18 miles per gallon...
And when the loudest cry only because it finally hits home IT WILL BE most definitely TOO LATE for change.

That's how acceleration works - and NATURE is slow to anger but when she does...SHE is relentless

After the Waters Rise
{“Pale Blue Dot” revisited 2060}

Part I ~

“As fresh rains & good water bring LIFE, so too do despoiled waters bring Death to all…                                                                                                3/16/2010

Dead Sea Planet ~ an immaculate mirage, spinning lonely in empty space. The promise violated, abandoned of life that consumed without heed, Such “limitless” treasures squandered on pleasure and greed.

Yet from 4 billion miles away, EARTH is a “pale blue dot” ~

So the great, late scientist-astronomer said,

His epic prophecy of promises the cerulean water-word held

On closer inspection, after millennium they came and beheld

The roiled troubled waters of a world dead.

Such gemstone beauty still seen in deep space, belies

The Tempest swirling of consumption lies, that

Heedless deals carried out beneath its canopied cirrus skies.

Old Testament Prophet rises like vapor from his Biblical tomb to say:
“For all must live by these eternal waters, so ALL must perish when the Oceans die!”

First, fell the small & inconsequential -
a lonely seabird dropping from the empty sky

An exhausted warbler on his way tumbles
to an arid glassy sea in search of dry land

No ISLANDS do we see, for all have drowned in stagnant creeping tides
As predicted by the ‘small voice’ of the once wise ~

ALL this JUST the Beginning ~

                                          AFTER the Waters Rise…

[ to be continued next week: And remember “Brother FunkTop says: “Cold weather don’t mean it ain’t too hot somewhere! ]

“For all must live by these eternal waters, so ALL must perish when the Oceans die!”

Quite powerful, and yet, so many are still so blind. And I doubt most will see, until it's too late.

In the spirit of 'Until the Creeks Rise,' this little tome foretells the mess we are making of our only ocean. Insight, Mike.
