This poem was written during the Vietnam war, but amazingly/unofrtunately it is still quite appropriate today.

ODE TO WAR
Crushed mangled bodies
Of the dead left behind.
During the wars
That shall destroy mankind.
The stains in the soil
From a young mother’s child.
An attack of young soldiers
Scared and running wild.
An order is given.
And like sheep they must follow.
Kill them completely
And dig the ground hollow.
When the houses are leveled
And the flag is raised high.
How we forget
The blood in the sky.

The war is just the beginning of the end. And at the end your own shadow starts fighting with you.
If you are gonna take the little pleasures from their lives, how dare you say that it is for peace? |

| So appropriate still today. So many young good men getting killed and wounded beyound compare. Never will we forget this war. Hopeless it seems, but when will it end? |
