Just back from seeing an independent, romantic film at the cinema...sent my mind wandering

He touched her in a way that

filled her, making her feel

as though she would explode

into a million pieces of paper

confetti.

Then he kissed her –

ever so gently –

causing her to release

a sigh as soft as a

feather.

And as he turned to leave

and descended the stairs,

she floated into the night

on an infinite sky,

sprinkled with tiny bubbles.

Beautiful, breathy - like an invitation. Love "He touched her in a way that filled her..."

This is not the kind of poem one should read on a stark screen, rather it should be whispered in one's ear while one's eyes are softly shut.

There's somehow a lot of life and light in this, Dawn... was the film French or Italian? It speaks to me of the light prevalent on French/Italian borders, Alps or coast... Conceptually, quite neo-romantic French, I'd say! Us Europeans sometimes believe that the hotbed of New Thought is across the Atlantic whereas, historically, much radical new thinking eminated from the French... damn it! :)) xx LOVE film arts labs...

Dawn,
What was the name of that movie? This has the lightness of gossamer wings, ethereal and floating,...and I love those 'tiny bubbles' at the end.

Must have been a good movie to put you in this romantic mood. Because you mentioned a film had cause this poem I found myself seeing your words projected on a black and white screen as the two lovers (and yes, they can be lovers without the actual act, although what he did could be considered an act of love) acted out their passion ever so subtly and deliciously. Fired me up!!
