A Soul's Perspective

Stepping out onto the

balcony, I notice a sky

uncharacteristically blue –

a strange occurrence in a

large overcrowded city.

I push open the windows and

breathe deeply, closing my eyes

for a moment or two, imagining

life from a different perspective,

using the eyes of my soul.

A peaceful contentment arrives

this cool autumn morning, realizing

I am where I am meant to be at this particular

place in time, continuing to travel on the road to there.

A very thoughtful write, Dawn. It seems to demonstrate an inner strength. It's that place we draw from when we need to get through something or we need change. Hugs,

You have experienced a beautiful serenity in self-awareness, and communicate it wonderfully, a depth of inward realization. I especially like the perception of the last line,"place in time, continuing to travel on the road to there.".........Jerry

YES...IT IS ONLY WHEN WE 'CLOSE' OUR EYES THAT WE CAN 'SEE' CLEARLY...THEN WE CAN BASK IN THE WONDERFUL PEACE OF 'HIS' PRESENCE...AS WE PRESS ON. A MOST ENCHANTING WORK THAT 'FEEDS' THE SPIRIT AND MIND. DONE WELL, DAWN, AND THANKS FOR SHARING. GOD BLESS.

Nice thoughts Dawn...sometimes we just have to stop and truly grasp the breath to realize who we are and where we are going...and even so,

the heart of the Soul has it's own mind and will lead us...

nice...

These mystical stirrings reflect Source and so well demonstrate that you have lifted whatever lids of suppression may have once obscured that part of Source/God/All-That-Is that resides within each of us, in our every cell. You are a Light Shining.

Dawn - Love this meditation on the moment, especially the last two lines,

I am where I am meant to be at this particular

place in time, continuing to travel on the road to there.

The ambiguousness of "... on the road to there." is both mysterious and comforting.

The photo could easily be from North Georgia in autumn.

Dawn,
This capture is as much within as without, and very rightly you've made them inseparable and indistinguishable...as they are; and it's a pause that isn't a break in moving on but a break while moving.

"I am where I am meant to be" That's a feeling we don't get often, but when we do it's precious. And I loved the pic. You've nailed it again, Dawn.

Dawn, this is such a refreshing poem to wake to. Yes you are exactly where you are meant to be. Living in the moment, and you are.
You live through deep soul searching and intuition. Go with that beautiful soul of yours and you will never be lead to the wrong place.
