She looked into his perfect face
And thanked God for His love and grace
Her baby boy, God’s Salvation plan
Son of God, Son of man
She counted ten tiny fingers, ten tiny toes
She kissed His precious baby nose
Just as mothers have done
Since time began
But this was not just any child
This child was sent to save the world
This child she delivered
Would some day
Be crucified for all to see
Sacrificed, nailed to a tree
So as we trim the trees
And tie the bows
Let us not forget the
Ten tiny fingers and ten tiny toes
That she kissed that night
And His redeeming sacrifice
Let us not think only of that tiny baby
But of our Savior …..
Nailed to a tree
