A love unlike any other

I lie alone in the darkness
the only sound is that of my heart beating
My eyes grow tired
But sleep evades me
In my mind, are a thousand
different thoughts
all of you
My hand runs lightly
over my breast
longing for your
tender caress

I slowly stretch as I remember
the excitement of your breath
on my neck
and I grow restless
the longing from deep within
starting to simmer
and rising through every part of me

How long has it been
since I last felt your
sweet lips upon my own
the weight of your body against mine

my hand pushes my hair
from my face
and I tremble at the
picture in my minds eye
of you walking slowly
toward our bed
coming to take what is yours

my soft skin yearning
for your touch
my breath quickens
my breast rise and fall
in anticipation of
your lips

surely no one has felt like this before
just us two
for at the very sound of your voice
I am taken from
this mortal plain
and transported to a sensual planet
where only we exist
and as I lie here in this earthly prison
longing for my lovers touch
I feel your body molded to mine
as though Michael Angelo had
sculpted us from one perfect
piece of alabaster
two that have become one
who even when apart
can not be separated

two who know a love
for which no one else can
comprehend
one love
forever
perfect
