The thing speaks for itself--my foggy memory of the Latin equivalent is "Ipse rae loquitor," but just go with the English to avoid embarrassment. This poem was published by Ygdrasil in August, 2007, copyright to J. Donald Coonrod.

Numb, then thawing icicles
melt drop by drop,pure aqua,
chastened by Spring flowing
into the ground.
Sun follows it,and if I could rise
in that lovely air, float in its joy
somewhere among the stars,I’d be
the first to volunteer--to thaw slowly,
dripping drop by drop,
over a desperate dry earth.
