Mortal Decadence

As I reflect upon a loss most dear to me, I cannot help reflect upon my very own mortality.

Slow death will surely take me down
And leave behind a mortal tear
No choices tout a humble crown
Destroyers  trouncing on my fear

Not claiming mirth in the tally
Encroachment of a spector's wrath.
Scorning those near life's finale
Death rites corrupt my troubled path.

I eagerly rejoice for more
That lingers in my stolid mind
What's lodged inside death's regal door?
What kind of music will I find?

I need to know who beckons me
Who treads upon the master's call
Hidden dwellings still standing free
The predator awaits my fall

Nicely written. We all wonder who's behind
that door when we fall.

Misic singing by the angels and also the loved ones of your who have gone ahead of you. I can hear my hubby singing in heaven with the angels in my mind cause he was such a good singer here at home. He really belted his favorites out. Do not fear it will be ok when your time comes meanwhile you have to do the best you can to others and for yourself. Keep busy in deeds and prayers too.

Profoundly philosophical inquiries and wonderings encompass this well-crafted piece of writing. Nicely done.

Death stalks at every turn and we must be defiant until the very end, so nicely put....

Be safe,
