About my sojourns in the U.S.A. and in Southeast Asia! Some kind of Progress Reports!

Excerpt from Work:

2) The crisis...

Yersterday, I chatted with our go-between,
She was as solid as a beam.
Today, I looked out for you
Since we, together, had much to do.
Tomorrow, we shall have to decide
Wether to stay home or go outside.
We'll find an apartment that you like
Either in the city or at the seaside.

Yet ! the crisis is still there
But, please, get it out of your mind.

3) The Sunshine

You know that I live in a French paradise
But this year, something happened to my great surprise !
She came to see me, my Californian Sunshine :
For no one but Her, everybody had eyes !

Mistreated by her fiancé
Venus was not very happy !
So, my star penetrated bodily
The swimming ocean pools of Brittany

She was a bird afraid of cages
She was a book whose pages I could read
She was a little girl I took to see caves
She was a servant of whom we were in need.

Of Graciousness she was the faithful image !
On the breton sand she was the Sleeping Beauty
Everybody wanted to take her in marriage
Everybody but her regular fiancé…

Living by the seaside, a dream of mine, and sure every girl would love it to happen truly. Glad that California girl got to see France. I would love to visit there too. Your words here in these two peoms are graciously accepted in a loving way. Gracious for them.

I can only agree with the opinions already stated: this is interesting, well written, and sheds light on a confusing fact...beauty may lie in the eyes of all those beholders, but we don't know just what the fiance saw hidden behind that lovely exterior...fascinating.

Your fluid style of writing is quite engaging. I appreciate the pieces you have shared with us here. Your poems are intensely vivid and imaginative. Good effort.

I like Your composing style, Poet. "Some poems in English!" gives the readers a sample of Your poetical works, which I enjoy.

Keep posting, Poet.

Being a narrow-minded arts teacher I could hardly conceive that a PhD in physics who wrote an illuminating and challenging "Newton Versus Relativity" could suggest so much emotion with such sober expression. Moreover I could never have thought that this author (whose language is French) could master English to that extent, conjuring up the spirit of a mythical Indochina through the unobtrusive inclusion of the vietnamese language he spoke even before using French and which nourished his young soul. And what about the last three « Progress Reports » !!!!! Read them.
