comes a time in a persons life
toys are put away with tear
adulthood filled with solice "n" strife
but, bullies can still smell fear

when just learning to count ten
judgements retreat from what's right
another school day begins again
when I'm bigger, maybe i'll fight

today you may want my bike
the one my dad, worked so hard for
a painted color, you dont like
to stand up, not worth dying for

tears will cleans a childs heart
today, I walk as a man
fear no longer keeps us apart
time has come for you to understand

not my car or, my wife
nor, your sorrow felt pranks
I'm no longer afraid of your knife
for, inner beauty, is what I give thanks

~~michael~~

we all had a bully in our life but, as we grow they don't seem to scare us as much...."peace"

This brought back memories of when I conquered my fears and accepted the responsibility to fight for what is right regardless of the out come. Well written!

Bully's "are" cowards~ and "some"?, grow more calculating with age?..Seems all the more dangerous to me some how ..Perhaps because at least in a child I believe all children can still feel in their hearts...Adults, some have become empty?..black, bleak, no light in their souls.

bullies are really cowards, but it's a pity they cannot see what harm they cause.

I've had a few bullies in my past and a few in my present, but in the long run don't they keep us focused - mine do anyway - I refuse to let them get the best of me, no matter what. The joke's on them!!
Loved it!

Michael,
Right on & right on. Some people just don't get it. (speaking of the person with the unnecessary comments). Yes, there was/is always a bully and you know what? They are the chickenshits. I love this write, keep it up. Your new friend in Dallas. Janet

Hi Michael.
Thats a good poem,liked that.
Tell you what, thats some outfit your wearing.
I did my para training, gave me a nice Red Beret, went well with the Royal Engineer flash, never seen any fire men there,
In fact, I never seen nothing like you there.
Not to worry done,my bit.
Let some body else do it, see if they get any more thanks I did.
Wish some of them had been, where i've been, they would think twice before they opened their stupid mouths.
Not problem, having the time of my life.
