A night in a baronial hall.

The autocratic aristocrats set the abigales ablush

With amorous applications, alarming them anew.

Minstrels made music, melodies and madrigals,

Both maid and master made to mesmerize.

The agile acrobat astounded all with his ability,

His ambidextrous actions truly did amaze.

Merlin the magician, they marvelled at his miracles,

Magical mysteries, miraculous to behold.

At the tables helping, pot boys and servers,

Bringing wine and mead and victuals to enjoy.

In the rushes ’neath their feet, hounds rummaged eagerly,

Investigating everything, keen for their share.

I very much enjoyed reading your poetry. The imagery and mood were absorbing as was the fun!

A seat at the table in the days of old, very descriptive and a nicely woven tale...

Be safe,
Karen
