'Twas the day before Chirstmas
and all thru the Den-shop
How the elves were so busy...
just watch them clip-clop.
Their hands, how they flew
with needle and thread,
many toys to be finished
'fore their heads hit the bed.
Their feet, how they'd shuffle
'cross the Den floor,
'twas surprising they didn't
trip thru the door.
"Where's the blue paint?"
"Who spilled the red?"
"Watch out for the runner
on the little boy's sled!"
"Catch the rainbow!"
"Where's the snow?"
"What kind of cookies
do we make from this dough?"
Feed the reindeer,
brush their manes;
plait their tails,
repair their reins.
When Den-Elves work together
our chores seem so breezy,
it's Teamwork that makes
this Workshop so easy.
Oh! What to our wondering ears
do we hear?
Snow on the rooftops...
it's a White Christmas Year!!
Let Santa sleep
'til his 8 o'clock call
Mrs. Clause will awake him
with a "Ho, ho, y'all."
We'll finish our chores
'fore Santa awakes;
make ready the cider
and the little round cakes.
He'll have a long trip
'round the world 'fore he's through,
bringing a Merry Christmas
to all kids...AND YOU!
And what to our wondering eyes
should apprear?
Den Authors - all decked out
in Christmas gear!
And we're wishing
to one and to all
A MERRY CHRISTMAS...and HO! HO! Y'ALL
