August 28 1991...Midnight...Rainbow Haven, Puxley, S. Northamptonshire, England

People see just what they want according to their view

So what is Truth Reality? Can it be same for you?

Can two men women see as one? If both stand on two sides?

The yawning gap that comes between becomes a chasm wide

On many planes and levels to, no two may see as one

If both look upward to the sky all eyes will see the Sun

Yet, one may say, 'How warm, how good- I feel revitalised!'

Another see's there Hell's own flames and feels they want to die!

More questions rise, an answer comes, sometimes it stays so brief

For one more question piled on top takes answers like a thief!

For now the answer that you had, no longer holds it's sway

Does each one stop just where they feel, while others go their way?

Can one look so objectively when faced with your own truth?

For truth to me may not be yours, to quite a phrase, 'Godstruth!'

from ancient times a word appears, it answers its own quest

The truth of god is all there is - Hark, listen I behest!

To backtrack in amoeba's time, each truth is of itself

Let's pray to us we can accept our god's truth for ourselves

And yet another question comes. If all are god each one

Can we all reach a meeting place, when all minds think as one?

I'm f'mucked if I know, answers on a postcard please!

"Can we all reach a meeting place, when all minds think as one?"

Nope, we cannot. We humans, hormone driven and greed inspired, are too contrary for such mutual gathering.

Gosh, look at all the religions we have, and at all the denominations we have in our own church. We cannot even agree about the nature of God.

Remember that the chasm between individuals is either a predatory or a defensive tool.

Under the circumstances, it is a blessing that a few of us may come together with a few viewpoints in common. We may constantly push for more mutuality, as we will. You will. So will I. That is a beginning.

You have summed up the devisiveness in your poem. Well done!

Ted
