Vote for me I’ll set you free!

“I welcome this kind of examination,
Because people have got to know
Whether or not their president’s a crook.
Well I’m not a crook.” ~ Richard Nixon

“God Bless America.” ~ George W. Bush

Thank you, thank you, thank you,
Ladies and Gentlemen, Friends and
Countrymen.

I’m proud to be here today,
Representing you in a truly
Humanistic way,
Representing only the very best in humanity,
In the attempt to move past the insanity
To which we have become accustomed.

The trust of the American people has been
trodden upon for the last time!

Our rights and responsibilities have been
Subjected to depravity of the worst kind!

The salient issues of our times, reduced to
Sound bites that dull our minds,
Culled from the bottomless pit of
Inhuman degradation, wherein lies the
Utmost sin of spiritual relations;
Whereby they - in their hubris and
Egocentrically-centered behavior -
Hold these truths to be self-evident,
Equality being evidently irrelevant,
Upholding morality something less than
An ambivalent pursuit of the Enlightened Elite,
Intent upon deepening the
Unholy slumber of the masses
While they engage in world-wide plunder
Tearing our Earth asunder.

Vote for me I’ll set you free!

Now is the time for all secrets to come
To Light, for those who hide in the shadow
Of privileged anonymity to experience
The enmity of the public spotlight.

A sight not seen for generations,
Since the French sent the Knights Templar
Cross’t oceans, following stars to
The New World, an unholy Cabal of ancient lineage
That draws upon powers best left to those
Dedicated to Higher and Truer Goals
Than the Rulership of the Mundane

Vote for me I’ll set you free!

The pain of the world is evident for all to see,
The seas themselves rebel against our hegemony.

The krill scream shrill spiraling screams that
Stop the salmon from swimming upstream!

The polar bears short hairs raise in sympathetic
Harmony, while serpents in the Midwest meet
And greet each other in preparation for early hibernation.

The hurricane season’s come too soon,
The light of the moon shines too brightly,
The monsoon rains increase nightly,
While daily indexes of heat increase, searing souls
Like jellyfish stranded upon the shoals of life,
Exposed to the spiking flames of solar radiation
And nations rise against nations, oblivious to the
Deprivation of Mother Earth.

Vote for me I’ll set you free!

And so I leave you with this message:
Without a world to live upon we are lost.
Without an ocean to bolster life, life will end.
Without biogenetic diversity, comes nothing but adversity.
Without a neighbor, we are alone.
Without love, there is no God.
Without God, there is nothing.

Our choice is clear. Vote your conscience, vote your heart,
Vote your soul.
Vote for me, I’ll set you free!

Vote for me I’ll set you free!

“I welcome this kind of examination
Because people have got to know
Whether or not their president’s a crook
Well I’m not a crook.” ~ Richard Nixon

“God Bless America.” ~ George W. Bush

Brava, Mark. Oh, brava. I'd fly my flag for this one, cry for ever growing masses... or, at least, one can hope.

"Ambivalent Pursuits" stimulates one to read the
CONSTITUTION OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA...
(I wish the Chief LEGAL Adviser of The White House could READ...)
It ignites the dynamo of Patriotism and strikes thoughts on Justice.

This composition. "Ambivalent Pursuits" is a poetic compliance
with Poetry's tasks. It makes me think that it is about time for
Americans to decide to have a legal country and stop serving the Greek-Roman Empire as slaves members of its Province.

JUSTICE SHOWERS IN AMERICA... WE DON'T SALUTE ZEUS!

Very well written, Mark, you pen a powerful message. Carefully chosen words, Nixon was not a crook, though he was a lot of other things, some good and many very bad. It doesn't matter who is in the political seats of government, there is a chain of corruption that gets them there. Some get caught, most do not, and when they are caught, it really doesn't matter anyway. Chappaquiddick is a good example of that. Nixon didn't murder, but he did cheat. Lies abound when people are given too much power and when the laws of the land are distorted for their own purposes.

Take care,

Sherry
