What beautiful Autumnal images you bring to us in these verses, Lori. Sadly, here in No. Texas, we have very little of the changing color of leaves as we retain mid-80s thru October; then the browning, then the dropping of leaves by Thanksgiving.

Lovely, Lori. I like this one a lot. It seems we all may be rushing the seasons, here. It's still August for another day. ;-)
This reminds me of one of my 'seasons' poems. Oh well, let's all rush them on. LOL |

This is so smooth and so well choreographed, Lori, it plays like a perfect dance upon the soul. Your images are clear and yet they allow the reader to be subjective and see it through their own mind's eye. I have been thirsting for a poem from you, being teased by all of your excellent ku. Drinking this one in, it was certainly worth the wait.
Take care,

| All are highly evocative with fabulous tones of autumn and vestiges of shifting seasons (and how they merge and emerge)... but I love the strutting cocks the best... you captured their pretentious gait so well - it always makes me laugh how the wind cocks-a-snoop from behind, ruffling their baggy pants and tail feathers! :)) Sheer brilliance! xx |
