A silent night, too. Only one star in the sky. Your poem makes me want to sleep...
Bye, bye.

amusing piece

Delightful. Your sense of whimsy barely covers your sense of what is "fitting". This sort of "light" poetry is often more revelatory than the "serious" sort.

Hah! You weaseled out of that big goof (on purpose) in a charming and delightful way. Summer waited until the beginning of fall to show up down here in the swamp. We had a cool summer, lots of rain to help it stay mostly cool, and now we are experiencing lower to middle nineties most days.

There is no need to have a generous and loving spirit be confined to Christmastime. I think the real lesson is that caring is a gift that we should share at all times. Nice writing, Lori.
Take care,

thanks Lori, very creative switch from witches and gobblins of Oct, of course I like the vampire and the control and strength he has, but he has to watchout for the cross and stake, don't worry I wouldn't bite your neck, I'd kiss it, can't say that for some, some fools are worse than vampires, at least you know what to expect from a vampire, many of these mean old humans are unpredictable almost to the point of death, cheers
