A Sky Crying Reminder

I so wrongly assume,
the years will pass,
in whatever fashion,
first one slow, perhaps,
the second building speed,
the third a lucky charm.
But this is not true ,
as certain days truly
remind the open heart
which tweaks the brain,
by rote emotional reflex,
bittersweet our memories.
Two years have passed along,
moving down the timeline,
fashioned out of grief,
but meant to be refashioned
into a more solid bond,
an everlasting connection.
It is said, done and easier,
as the days continue on,
until this fall rainstorm,
sheets of water falling,
the sky crying in reminder,
of love and relationship lost. |

| For myself, I have learned that the deep sweet-sadness for my cherrished losses never diminishes exactly, but evolves over time to a deepening of connection for those I am with now. Vicky |
