Shame

This is more than weight lost and found; it is of self lost pound by pound. Inspired to try to get past the blame and shame by the writings of Ruby Gettinger. I hope writing my feelings here will help.

A silent voice hides behind eyes that haunt

But condemning thoughts are heard and they taunt.

She lost so much weight not so long ago

How could she stop and just let herself go?

There are no answers just a need to hide,

But how do you escape from those eyes inside

The person who instigates so much blame

For that person is me, living in shame.

I know how you feel, Karen. I too am trying to lose weight. Problem is as I get older, there doesn't seem to be a reason any more.
