A love poem of longing and desire for a lost love. Poem published in my book Feelings of Love and Loss.
|
Luminous moonbeam shimmers,
Just as the sparkle glimmers,
From the twinkle in your eyes.
I watch the moonbeams dance as if alive.
The darkness has crept in,
Dampness clings to my skin.
Desperately longing for your eternal soul,
But denial sets in like a hot burning coal.
Dreaming of your soft touch on my body,
Brings a song to my heart just like a melody.
My heart begins to pound so loudly.
My mind screams for you madly.
Here I am lost in this sea of confusion.
My whole life seems just like an illusion.
I walk through life as if in a trance,
I should be happy and singing as I dance.
Wanting the sensual feeling, you send to my soul.
The overflowing emotions that now make me whole.
Only you can bring out these feelings in me.
Your love engulfed me and helped me to see.
You raise a burning love and desire,
From deep in my heart, you kindle the fire.
These feelings of love surround me now,
Remembering all the thoughts my mind will allow.
Come take my hand in yours so gently.
Love me always and forever tenderly.
For in my heart all my love will belong to you.
My soul is with you no matter what we do.
For lifetimes, love has eluded us.
Seems fate stole our love as if it must.
Each new life we search for each other.
Our hearts long to unite with one another.
Only not to find our love each time we look.
Seems our love is already a written book.
I am not giving up on the love that is mine.
I will search each new lifetime for your love to find.

Such longing strives to make the soul ache, until the day when the two are joined at last to become one and whole. Heartwarmingly beautiful....
Be safe,
