You Miss Me

A lost love is missed

A warm teardrop rolls down from my eye,
Like a burned out star falling from the sky.
Memories of you flooding back into my mind,
Visions and thoughts I do not want to find.

Remembering you tears my heart to shreds,
Tiny pieces only held together by thin threads.
Whispering you miss me and cannot stay away,
Only brings darkness and thunder to my day.

You torture me with this love not meant to be,
Then you come back and you are all I can see.
Fly me away in the wings of your tender love,
Dip me in your passion as we soar way above.

A silent memory only we two can share,
I can never return there and I must beware.
Why do you come back after all this time to me,
Reminding me of our love that can never be?

I hear you whisper my name on your lips.
I feel your breath on my trembling fingertips.
To say I do not still want you in my life to stay,
Would only be a lie that my mind can betray.

You must leave and not torture me like this,
Even though we know our love we both miss.
I must take my leave and turn my back on you,
Even though it kills me I know it is what I must do.

I know you will be back after some time has passed,
You cannot stay away too long when feelings are massed.
You know I will be here waiting for you to return,
A lesson in our love that I will never learn.

Our love has always been a written book,
Even from the very first gentle look.
With longing and yearning in our hearts,
We knew it was over from the start.

I hope to wake and find this is a dream,
But we both know it is not what it seems.
Our love keeps bringing us back together,
A soft burning fire that will go on forever.

These series of writes coming especially from your heart were very enteraining. I only hope it turns out good for you and that special someone does come back and stays. Or the soft burning fire will surely go on forever even without him. Such a loving write and coming from your great heart. Thanks for writing all of these today. I read them all and they are just great and the style is supremely done.
