Healing Garden

For my beloved sister-in-law, Georgia, who died too young last Sunday.

Healing Garden

Plant a rose for beauty

Plant lavender to soothe;

Plant marigolds for sunny faces

And plant lilacs for youth.

Plant an acorn to grow an oak tree;

Plant a pepper tree’s gentle caress.

Plant palm trees to sway in the breeze,

Jacaranda for the purple dress.

Your garden is your memory

Each new growth a loving thought

Every flower, butterfly, and bud,

Exchanged for what we’ve lost.

Beautifully penned my friend...I can relate well, I love to work in my flower garden and watch the buds turn to blooms nurturing them the entire time...yes well done indeed!
Blessings from Ky.

Life is like a flower; when the flower dies we may feel a sense of abandonment and much pain. With such a beautiful garden, in time you can be glad that she has lived, and remember her smile and joy.
A poem that sooths the soul, with serenity and love.
A garden too water, always.
