After blushing over Jill's tribute to me, a poem which proves I'm a lucky man, I had to write one for her.
Here's to an amazing poet, a caring heart, my "partner in rhyme," and more than that, my loving "brown-eyed girl," Jill Eisnaugle......xo

A breath of spring, a newborn fawn
A sleepy summer morning’s yawn
A glimpse of autumn ‘cross the lawn
And winter’s sparkling hint of dawn
You are the seasons I adore
You fill each one with peace, galore
I know a good day lies in store
Knowing you wait, beside the shore
The road ahead is crystal clear
Life’s troubles seem to disappear
I see the sun and know you’re near
Even if miles away from here
You’ve shone a light into my heart
You’ve stood by me, right from the start
Angelic prayers have played a part
In our bond’s simple work of art
A cherished gift from long ago
A rare and priceless memento
A timeless dream; a warm hello
The memories that surely grow
You’re the rewards I hold at will
The good times which give me a thrill
The softness of a babbling rill
But most of all, you’re my love, Jill.

This is such a unique style. I am not one who can write much in rhymed poetry and have a poem that comes out sounding unforced, so to see two sets of 4 lines in each of rhymed poetry in each stanza....WOW! My hat goes off to you.
You have found yourself quite a peach in Jill. :~)

Nate,
Now, I'm blushing. Thank you. You're an awesome poet and a great person; I'm very lucky, myself. (Neat style to this poem, too; I'd never thought of 2 sets of 4 rhymed lines per verse)
Have a great Saturday and I'll catch up with you later,
Jill.......xo, right back at ya |
