In every moment; in every way
You have been there always,
each and every day
You have fixed me tacos; you have set me straight
You’ve ridden my tail when I
have been late
You’ve taught me to love, though I’ve failed miserably
To reach the example you have set for me
You’ve lived through my tantrums and moments of drama
And that is why I am proud you’re my Mama
You have bought me sports cards, though I had too many
I had several hundred, if I had any
But, you always felt there was room for one more
As the youngest, you felt I earned them I’m sure
When we went to the beach, you led me by hand
You would not complain whenever I’d eat sand
You always figured in time I would learn
To follow your lead and make the right turn
For this Mother Day, I wish you much joy
Although I am grown, I’m still your “little boy”
Dear Mama, I love you more than words can say
Wherever I go, in my heart you’ll stay
You’ll always know better than I ever will
Even with the guidance you tried to instill
In this brick-brained boy who has become a man
Happy “Mama’s” Day; I’ll see you when I can
