A poem inspired by the anniversary (tomorrow) of meeting my "ray of sunshine," Jill.

Love can linger over miles
And through the tests of time
Love can spark a million smiles
And heartfelt words of rhyme
Love can bring lasting delight
Even if by surprise
Love is what is in my sight
When I look in your eyes

Love is beautiful and bold
Sometimes, it’s rich and rare
Love is something to behold
And wonderful to share
Love is priceless; love is pure
Love is perfect, when true
And if about one thing I’m sure
Love shines inside of you

Love is what came to my heart
Love is what claimed my soul
Love has been there from the start
Love is in full control
Across the distance, love remains
A gift that our lives share
You are my shelter in the rain
You’re love, beyond compare
