My poetic home is for rent since I'm too far away from everyone I need around me. I'm looking for a new "poetic home" nearer to my "ray of sunshine."
|
I’ve a poetic home for rent
It tells of all the years I’ve spent
As an oft blind and lonely gent
More so than of the merriment
Its walls seem smaller, day by day
With my loved ones so far away
But soon, yes soon, I hope and pray
“I’ll take the house,” someone will say
I have nothing against its verse
For I have certainly heard worse
But, this home binds me to a curse
A passage I’d like to reverse
So, please, oh please, come rent my home
Its history is etched in chrome
For you to see, while last I roam
To dance with love and the seafoam

Nate,
I know. Believe me, I know. You know I love family and I know you do as well. Being away from everyone, especially as costly as travelling is these days, is not easy. For reasons beyond the obvious, I hope someone comes to take your "home" off your hands for you, soon!
Thanks for answering the challenge and hey, you can never be too lonely, these days; even with the distance, you still have me!
Many hugs (and don't work too hard),
Jill |
