The still of the ocean touching the sand
The splendor of sea gulls gliding in pairs
The wonder of life enfolds where we stand
And yet, next to you, no glory compares
For you grant a breath of calm in the storm
The reason to trudge across every mile
An angel within, despite human form
God’s love resides in your heartwarming smile
The snow on the mountain melts to the lake
The sunrise gives way to sunset at night
Time moves ahead with each step that we take
Beside you, each step is wholesome and right
The moments we share, each special and pure
As prized as the notes from a Spanish guitar
Grant us the courage to thrive and endure
Our romance blessed by a being afar
The slow, midday walks taken through the park
The shade from the trees and coolness abound
Dreams of the future and love’s awesome spark
Remind us of the cherished bond we’ve found
Bright skies of blue or fresh flowers of white
Soft, moonlit dances shared beneath the stars
Romantic dinners spent in candlelight
All of these things are beautiful and ours
