As an old sailor I love this, I took a long walk today on one of our trails through the Nova Scotia forests and come across some of the straight tall pines that were once cherished by HMS for masts that brought me back to the sea and your poem continued my trip. Well done Jon.

nor anchored upon a poetic shoal
