You Can Lead O’Malley to Water…but
Tessa left O’Malley in a huff realizing that O’Malley didn’t have a heart.
And it he did it was hard as the rocks he hauls in his old cart.
Nothing seemed to matter to O’Malley, the Waif was so right.
So Tessa decided to tell her friend when she saw her later that night.
The Waif heard the knocking and answered her door.
There stood her beautiful sister, who she loved to her core.
Hello Tessa, come in and have some hot scones and tea.
Have you any news about our friend and his diabolical plans for me?
Hello O’Dessa, your suspicions were right about O’Malley’s campaign.
He plans discover your treasure and the riches to gain.
You’ve gotta find a better hiding place if you want to keep your riches safe.
I wish I could help you, my dear sister waif.
Well, if it’s my treasure he seeks then I must oblige him for sure.
It seems to be the only way, the only true cure.
I will lead him right to it and then hopefully we’ll see.
If there’s any hope for O’Malley and me.
Saturday night will be O’Malley’s awakening to come.
If he can’t find my riches by then, he’s got to be really dumb.
Why I bother with this selfish old fool, I really don’t know.
But Tessa understood her sis, as she watched O’Dessa’s love grow.
Tessa could only remember the saying, “You can lead a horse to water.”
And couldn’t help think O’Dessa was leading O’Malley to his slaughter.
