Another year has fallen to the dusty ground below.
Another sun is setting just past the horizon's glow.
The calendar page looks as it had exactly a year ago.
The year slipped by...slipped by...a repeating show.
December 25th...magical when just a child so young.
Mistified of the twinkling lights and all those stockings hung.
Filling that red bucket beside that small brass bell being rung.
Excitement and family...oh, no sweeter nectar could be wrung.
This December 25th...older...so many crippling responsibilities.
Age creeping in like a fiend and settling in these, once young, knees.
Parents slowing down now...the holidays mean so much about family.
Taking pictures to remember smiling faces...always give, never need.
Funny how the same day changes from each year to year.
Funny how our bodies grow older, but in heart, we're still children there.
Funny...twenty years ago...oh, how magical and wonderful the cheer!!
Now, it just feel faded...people don't care...Humanity no longer comes here.
Remember to remember

i do agree we have forgotten the little things in life that are the most important. "remember to remember," indeed are precious words we too often forget. however, there is still good in this place we live in.
always,
