Kiss

You kiss my shaking head
Rest your hand upon my shoulder
Tell me it’ll be alright
That the moon will shine for me tonight
Before you leave I call to you
Don’t leave me here this time
I cannot sleep

My innocence was all I had
To prove I was pure
Now it’s gone and I’m empty
Like a beach in January
Lonely ship in the huge ocean
I feel for you

There’s got to be something more
Fragile light illuminates your face
I still just cannot sleep
Restless with my thoughts so deep
So hard to understand
To crave something you cannot have
Oh, I love you

My innocence was all I had
To prove I was pure
Now it’s gone and I’m empty
Like a beach in January
Lonely ship in the huge ocean
I feel for you

You kiss my shaking head
Rest your hand on my shoulder
Tell me it’ll be alright
That the moon will shine for me tonight
Before you leave I call to you
Don’t leave me here this time
I cannot sleep
